It has been a difficult journey these past few months. My husband and I have decided to make some drastic changes to our lives to get me back to being a healthy, happy person. When I became a mother, it was hard for me to adjust and learn to take care of myself. In turn, this has affected my mental and emotional health. I would never change my life as a mother. I love my children so much and they have enriched my life in so many ways. However, I need to make some very important decisions (ie. career) in order to take better care of my mind and body.
In addition, we recently found out that my daughter has a Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) that has affected her eating. She has some major oral hypersensitivities to tastes and textures and has only been able to eat a few foods. It has been mentally and emotionally exhausting for our family dealing her her "non-eating". However, we are finally getting some professional help which has been very comforting.
So, we have decided that I will quitting my current job to stay home with my girls. We are hoping that I will spend more time taking care of myself and my daughter. Money is always important but not as important as the health of your family. I am very excited to this new journey of pursuing better health and, hopefully, many more up-to-date blogs!!
